Legal Hotline's 22nd Year!
Midsummer of 2012 marked 22 years that Elder Law of Michigan’s Legal Hotline
has been providing free legal advice and information to older adults.
When an appointment is set and one of our attorneys calls a client, often the
first thing the client says is: “Thanks for calling me back!” Many of our callers
are used to being promised a call back that never happens, pushed to the side
and ignored. But the fulfilled promise of a return call from the Hotline means a
careful listening ear, options, possible solutions and a legal analysis of the problem
that offers clarity and insight. The call can lift the weight of worry. Instill the
confidence needed to deal with a bullying opponent or unfamiliar situation. Give
direction to resources that can provide support. One call. For help.
