The Elder Justice Now is part of a national campaign to create public awareness about issues of elder abuse in this country. Elder Law of Michigan, working in conjunction with national partners, identified elder abuse victims and advocates and shared their stories through the use of video.
It is believed that in Michigan there may be as many as 80,000 victims of elder abuse. Abuse occurs in every part of society. The campaign encourages community members to be on the alert for cases of abuse and take steps to report it.
