Elder Law of Michigan, long known for the Legal Hotline for Michigan Seniors, is also the place people call when they are in need and have run out of options. Assistance from our programs becomes their lifeline to hope, health and economic security. We make is easy -- older adults and people with disabilities can make "one call for help" and actually get the information, advice, and assistance the need to solve problems like food, housing, pension, medical assistance, and legal issues. Making a Difference for Real People

Make an investment today!

With your contribution of $70, we will assist one older adult find a lost pension to ensure that they have the income they need and earned in retirement!

With your contribution of $250 we will assist one low income older adult in applying for food and medical services that are worth (on average) $2028 per year.
With your contribution of $500 we will provide self-help materials to 50 older adults to empower them to solve a legal problem.

You can also make a gift in your will or estate plan, or donate stock, life insurance and other assets! Depending on the current tax laws, leaving a gift to Elder Law of Michigan in your will may reduce the estate tax burden on your heirs significantly. You should consult with a financial advisor or attorney to learn how giving may actually benefit your family after you’re gone. To continue to meeting the growing demand for assistance from low income older adults, we need gifts of all sizes and types. We also participate with Charity Motors and can receive proceeds from used cars that are donated. Gifts of stock, life insurance, bequests can also be accepted.
