MiCAFE Network Screening and Application Specialist
Nicholas Goodman is a Network Specialist for Michigan's Coordinated Access to Food for the Elderly (MiCAFE). He has been a member of the Elder Law of Michigan team since October 2013.
Nicholas graduated from Lansing Community College in 2016 with an Associate in Applied Arts, American Sign Language Interpreting.
Before joining the Elder Law of Michigan team, he lived in a Catholic Worker House modeled after the traditions of Dorothy Day, which served people experiencing homelessness in Ann Arbor. One of his favorite accomplishments is involvement in getting a city ordinance amended in Ann Arbor. The amendment allows organizations to be exempt from the park use permit fee, if using city parks for humanitarian aid purposes.
Nicholas first joined Elder Law of Michigan as a member of the Intake and Referral team working alongside attorneys. He was a member of the NCOA Call Center for Reverse Mortgage counseling before transitioning to MiCAFE in May 2016.
