Tim McGraw is the Senior Pension Attorney at Elder Law of Michigan and has been a member of the Elder Law of Michigan team since February 1, 2023 
 

Tim earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan Ross Business School in 1981, and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School in 1986.

Before joining the Elder Law of Michigan team, Tim became a CPA after undergraduate studies and worked for a couple of Chicago law firms after law school. Tim was Senior Benefits Counsel at Ford Motor Company for 17 years and was a Shareholder at the former Stevenson Keppelman Associates law firm in Ann Arbor. Tim has taught Accounting and Tax courses at the University of Michigan and is also the President of TJM Enterprises, Inc., providing legal, tax and accounting services.

As the Senior Pension Attorney, Tim uses his almost four decades of experience to help clients understand their pension plans, and help them with any issues that they may encounter in obtaining those pensions.  He help clients track down old pensions, and file claims and appeals on their behalf. Tim also helps with Qualified Domestic Relation Order questions, survivor benefits, Qualified Joint and Survivor Annuity issues, and recovery of over and underpayments, from all types of plans, including defined benefit plans and defined contribution plans sponsored by private, governmental and educational employers.
